Graduation Deadlines

Deadline by which thesis students must secure a primary thesis reader and submit an approved thesis proposal.

Spring Quarter 2026 (for June Graduation) 

March 28 - Complete & submit Application for a Degree electronically on my.uchicago.edu

April 10 - Latest day for thesis students to submit complete draft to preceptor and primary reader

April 24 - Final day to withdraw from graduation list without $65 penalty fee

May 1 - Latest day to submit final thesis to preceptor and primary reader, or final capstone to preceptor

May 15 – Thesis evaluations from primary reader and preceptor due to Student Affairs Administrator, Dom Williams, williamsd@uchicago.edu  

May 15 - All grades from prior quarters due at the Office of the Registrar 

June 6 - Annual Convocation 

Summer Quarter 2026 (for August Graduation) 

June 20 - Complete & submit Application for a Degree electronically on my.uchicago.edu
